Massage therapy is the skillful mobilization of the soft tissues in the human body- skin, muscles, tendons, ligaments, and fascia. Healing is encouraged through various massage techniques which increase the flow of blood and lymph, relieve tension, stimulate nerves, stretch and loosen muscles and connective tissues to maintain elasticity. It is an excellent treatment modality in the recovery of whiplash and accident-related pain conditions, as well as the restoration of full joint range of motion following surgery.
